Puma and Uruguayan Football Association(AUF) have published the new Uruguay Home Shirt 2016 for national team. Players will wear it to participate in Copa América Centenario and 2018 FIFA World Cup South America qualifiers.
Inspired by the Sky Blues, the nickname of Uruguay national team called by fans, designers of Puma spare no effort to show the dignity and glory of the team. In addition, some elements from Uruguayan national flag are used in the new shirt to encourage players to fight for their country. The shirt is traditional blue and has a round-collar design, which looks simple. The word “LA CELESTE(Sky Blues)” is woven into the back of the collar. The new shirt is filled with horizontal stripes and has a badge of “Mayday Sun” on the left. These stripes and the badge are from Uruguayan flag. Puma classic black stripes are put from shoulder to sleeve on the left and right, which remove a shoulder seam. The mesh fabric under the arms can ensure a good heat dissipation performance.
The sports stripes inside of the shirt are made by using unique material which can absorb excess heat and release it back to the body when players need. What’s more, the sports stripes can also play an important role in massaging to help athletes play better and supply more energy to them. Puma’s latest ACTV Thermo-R technology can maintain best body temperature when players in football fields.
